Iran’s cement production capacity hits 64mt |
| Self-sufficiency in cement industry achieved |
| (TEHRAN-ISCA NEWS AGENCY): By inauguration of Kangan Cement Company in Bushehr province and the cement production capacity increase to 64 million tons and so the self sufficiency in cement industry held in Iran. |
The first vice president, Parviz Davoodi said in the self sufficiency ceremony of cement industry which simultaneously held with the inauguration of Kangan cement industry, “cement industry is an important industry which leads the country to become industrialized.”
He referred to the growth of production, industry growth, mine growth and investment of the 9th government and said, “This year we had 2 national self sufficiency ceremonies which includes the great ceremony of nuclear technology and also self sufficiency ceremony in cement industry of Iran.”
The first vice president added that the role of cement in added value was 2 percent and in employment was 1.5 percent and said, “thanks to the cement industry, Iran makes a lot of progresses.”
